During training sessions, Quarterbacks will work on Balance, Mechanics, Footwork and
Rhythm, Reading and Recognizing defense. It is important to not only develop a
quarterback’s physical attributes, but mentally as well. Putting your mind to the test
during training sessions will not only help you on the field as a quarterback but will help
develop leadership skills that are unparalleled.
Balance
Maintaining overall body control, relaxed upper body, sudden compact movements
Mechanics
Arm slot/position, posture, throwing motion, ball grip
Footwork
1,3,5,7 step drops under center, quick game steps, play action footwork, and also 1,3,5 step drops in shotgun
Read/Recognize
Pre-snap reads/adjustments, quick reads, hot throws, progression reads, defender/defense recognition, and check downs
